As you may have noticed, there has been a lot of buzz around fancy dress superhero films for the past few years. One thing that fans have picked up on is that there are more films about male superheroes than females. That is all set to change.

Marvel Studios is developing a film that will revolve around Black Widow, the character played by Scarlett Johansson in the “Iron Man” and “The Avengers” franchises. Here’s hoping that this film will set a trend.

While there are calls for more superhero films to feature women in the title role, there are bloggers and artists out there who are experimenting with what that would look like, by photoshopping female celebrities in the male equivalent of Ironman, Thor and Captain America costumes.

But we don’t need to worry about photoshop, not when we already have a fabulous range of lady fancy dress superhero costumes, waiting for you to make your superhero debut in at the next fancy dress event.
